Tastings

Your Tasting Event Your Way

Alcohol tasting sessions and events aren’t new, Whisky distilleries have been doing them for years as part of their tours. You may have noticed that recently that Gin, Craft Beers and Prosecco have also been getting in on the ‘tastings’ act. And who can blame them? They’re great fun! The popularity of these events has grown dramatically over the last few years.

Traditionally, a tasting event means going to a set venue. That might be a distillery, a shop or a hotel. But what if the tasting event came to you? What if you had the flexibility to have a tasting event in your own back garden? What if you added a tasting element to your next event? And, what if you had the freedom to choose the alcohol you really wanted?

That’s what we’ve created with our Bespoke Tastings service.

Bespoke Tastings

There’s a good reason we’re called the Bespoke Bar Company. It’s your event, so you should have it your way. We feel the same way about our tasting events. You can choose what alcohol you want. The choice is yours. The most popular options at the moment are –

  • Gin Tasting
  • Fizz Tasting (Champagne, Prosecco and Sparkling Wine)
  • Whisky Tasting
  • Craft Beers

And, yes, if you’ve got a mix of people you’d like to invite that like different drinks, we’ll happily combine your own Bespoke Tasting event that includes a combination of drinks. My dad always said you shouldn’t mix your drinks, but I think, on this occasion, even he’d make an exception.

Cocktail Masterclass

Ever fancied having a fun night in with your friends that’s a little bit different? We can set up our funky bar at your home for the evening. We’ll make you some fabulous cocktails, teach you some trade secrets and then let you go wild with the shaker. Whether you’re making classic cocktails or inventing your own original cocktails, we promise that you’ll have a fun and memorable evening with your friends.

Gin Tasting

Alcohol, like many things, goes through something of a trend cycle. At the moment, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Gin is riding high on the crest of the alcohol wave. It’s everywhere. I can’t think of a time when Gin has been so popular. You can take your pick of any Gin you’d like for a Bespoke Tasting session. Why not try some flavoured Gins as well as some of the growing range of Scottish Gins.

Fizz Tasting

Fizz Tastings combine two wonderful beverages – Champagne and Prosecco. Champagne is still hugely popular, but undeniably, Prosecco is King (or should that be Queen) of the Fizz World right now. For some, it’s purely down to taste, for others, it’s about the relative affordability. And, of course, flavoured Prosecco, is particularly popular at the moment. Which Fizz will you choose?

Whisky Tasting

A whisky tasting is a great way to discover brands you’ve never experienced before. From single malts to traditional and modern blends, the lineup for your whisky tasting is entirely up to you. If there’s a whisky you and your friends have never tried, now’s the ideal time. And, if you’d like to mix it up, why not through some whisky cocktails into the mix?

Craft Beers

It’s hard to avoid the continuing rise of craft beer. Every week brings a new micro-brewery or a new craft beer launch. A bespoke craft beer tasting for you and your friends is the perfect way to discover your next favourite craft beer. You can focus on a specific type of beer; like IPA’s, Brown Ales, Stouts or Belgium Styles. Or, if you prefer, why not mix and match. The decision is yours.

How much does it cost?

With so many options, it’s impossible to provide a fixed price for you on how much your specific Bespoke Tasting Event will cost. But the process of getting a price for your event is really simple. Get in touch with us and we’ll discuss the details for your unique event. We’ll confirm the venue and talk about the numbers you’d like to have along to your tasting. And, of course, we’ll discuss the all important alcohol selection you’d like to share with your guests.
